Lately, I’ve been feeling uncertain about the kind of future we, as human beings, are heading toward. Shocking, right?

From a religious perspective, Earth was created for us. Yet, somewhere along the way, we’ve lost many of the qualities that make us original—unique individuals. Instead, we rely on AI for almost everything: from a quick recipe, to song lyrics, to entire short stories or novels.

The whole meaning of being original seems to be fading. With the overwhelming amount of voices online—blogs, YouTube videos, social media—it’s tempting to let machines decide what we say or create. Following trends often feels like the easiest solution.

But here’s the thing: what kind of creator are we if everything we make is just a copy of something else? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not above asking ChatGPT to edit this post after I write it in my own words. 😉

This actually came from a conversation I had with my boyfriend the other day. We were talking about how songs from different artists around the world sometimes end up being literally the same. For example, Creepin’ by The Weeknd and I Don’t Wanna Know by Metro Boomin.

But that’s a whole other topic for another time… 😅

Until then, thank you for spending this time with me. Writing here gives me an escape, and I’m so grateful to share it with you.

Últimamente, me siento insegura sobre el futuro al que nos dirigimos como seres humanos. Sorprendente, ¿verdad?

Desde una perspectiva religiosa, la Tierra fue creada para nosotros. Sin embargo, en algún momento del camino, hemos perdido muchas de las cualidades que nos hacen originales: individuos únicos. En cambio, dependemos de la IA para casi todo: desde una receta rápida hasta letras de canciones, cuentos o novelas enteras.

El significado de ser original parece estar desvaneciéndose. Con la abrumadora cantidad de voces en línea (blogs, videos de YouTube, redes sociales), es tentador dejar que las máquinas decidan lo que decimos o creamos. Seguir las tendencias a menudo parece la solución más fácil.

Pero aquí está la cuestión: ¿qué clase de creadores somos si todo lo que hacemos es solo una copia de otra cosa? No me malinterpreten, no tengo reparos en pedirle a ChatGPT que edite esta publicación después de escribirla con mis propias palabras. 😉

De hecho, esto surgió de una conversación que tuve con mi novio el otro día. Hablábamos de cómo las canciones de diferentes artistas del mundo a veces terminan siendo literalmente iguales. Por ejemplo, Creepin’ de The Weeknd y I Don’t Wanna Know de Metro Boomin.

Pero ese es otro tema para otro momento…😅
